Associazione Valdostana Rebatta

The Valdostana Rebatta Association was founded in 1957 in Valle d'Aosta (a small autonomous region located in the north-west of Italy (on the border with France and Switzerland) to organise, support and promote the game of Rebatta, an ancient and typical discipline for throwing ball with stick.
To date, the association has 14 sports clubs that identify themselves in as many Municipalities of the Aosta Valley for a number of about 300 registered players.
Sports practice covers the whole year with the organization of individual competitions or team championships involving male, female and youth categories.
AV Rebatta is part of FENT (Federation Esport de Notra Tera) like the other typical regional disciplines (Fiolet, Tsan, Moura and Palet) together with which it interacts with local institutions, very attentive to the values represented by traditional games and sports, thanks to which for more than twenty years specific courses have been held in primary school, during curricular hours.
AV Rebatta is affiliated to the FIGeST (Federazione Italiana Giochi e Sport Tradizionali - Italian Federation of Traditional Games and Sports) recognized by the Italian National Olympic Committee.
